Too Priceless To Ignore

This comment, reported by the Associated Press, was from Hines Ward after the video taping violation was reported:

Steelers receiver Hines Ward said otherwise Wednesday, noting that during the 2001 AFC Championship game - a 24-17 Patriots win - "they knew a lot of our calls."

Never mind, Hines Ward, that the Patriots were caught video taping the opposition's DEFENSIVE signals. Of course, conspiracy theories abound about the Patriots somehow tapping into the opposition's offensive coordinator to quarterback audio feed. Perhaps it's worth noting that the National Football League controls, monitors, and encrypts all audio equipment used on the field during all games.

Ward is a hypocrite - he's routinely voted one of the 'cheapest' players in the NFL by his peers.
Of course, Rodney routinely wins this dubious honor.
Thanks for the dose of rational thought on these potshots in the press. I think it gets down to villianization of the Pats and particularly Belichick due to their extraordinary success. I remember a similar take on Jimmy Johnson and Jerry Jones during the early nineties, just not as vicious.
